Too busy to write about Shabbat....That's a real Tahoe sunset. Legit right?!?!?!? No filter. End of the day at the mountain. One of the many little miracles during Chanukah. Photo credit @evon_yakar.
Lots of skiing at Kirkwood and Heavenly. Humbled watching my boys hit jumps and race down the mountain.
Using King Arthur's Flour recipe to make challah in the shape of a menorah. Inspiration @jamiegellar.
The boys are ready for the classic, basic version coming the next Shabbat.
Shelter in place back in full force.....Spending lots of time at home, wondering when we can see the ocean, baking cookies. I've decided that delivering cookies to friends and acquaintances who need it might be my "love language" during lockdown.
Work productivity....Making our way through. Lots of Telehealth. Lots of paperwork. Therapists thrive in-person....it's decided. Will continue to power through this though, using OT tools to adapt and be flexible.
Workouts....Lots of peloton cycling. Some running up Tahoe Mtn. Ready to put the yaktrax back on my trail runners.
Latkes with help from a waffle maker. Evon and I topped ours with a kale pesto salad. Kids topped theirs with ketchup....we are weird....we know! @smittenkitchen
Finding joy in more small miracles. Our city's fire department making the rounds to put smiles on kids' faces. Love the joy!
Wishing you all moments of small miracles and joyful smiles. That's what Hanukah is about.
So grateful for the miracle that you are Rachel! Happy Hannukah! Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, meaningful solstice - may your celebrations be full of gratitude!
